Chinese (简体中文) launches

Our third live language, following English and Bahasa Malaysia — a natural next step given how many of KL's visitors come from Chinese-speaking markets.

What's live

The homepage, the Plan department hub, a full "Getting to KL" guide, the KLCC places page and the Stay hub are now translated into Simplified Chinese, reachable via the language switcher in the header or directly at totallykl.com/zh.

How translation and fallback work on this site

Pages that don't yet have a Chinese translation automatically link back to their English version rather than 404ing — so the Chinese homepage's department cards all work today, even for sections not yet translated. Each translated page also carries proper hreflang tags, so search engines correctly serve the right language version to the right audience.

What's next

We're expanding Chinese coverage the same way we grew the English site — hub by hub, with the highest-traffic pages (Petronas Towers, Batu Caves, the street food guide) prioritised next. Bahasa Malaysia continues to grow in parallel.

New guides land weekly.

We're building this out in public — follow the update log to see what's new.
